Inspired by the 90s hit Animated series - AEON FLUX - this piece focuses on the juxtaposition of shape and distance. The viewer is meant to feel as if they are immediately too close and yet very far from the image. It was Michael’s intention to instill a sense of urgency to blink while imagining a fly landing in your eye, and yet you remain motionless and still, only to focus on the fly.
