Self-taught multi disciplined artist born & raised in Toledo, Ohio. Coming from a graffiti background Michael has spent years wondering the creative world. The first goal he ever established was that he wanted to inspire others. Inspired by graffiti culture this sparked a creative flame that has persevered over 20yrs. Practicing a vast amount of styles & techniques, learning many tricks, having many ups & very dark downs; Michael has come a long way. Re-branding himself, former graffiti writer into a studio artist, muralist & positive content creator.
Only until recent years has Michael become more confident & devoted to his artwork. Utilizing many mediums & tools, from aerosol paint, to traditional mediums, he creates vivid, confusing & often immersive compositions. He simply describes his work as “Hyper-digital abstract-realism” His motif blends photo realism, abstract art elements, graffiti styles and traditional fine art techniques with somewhat of a psychedelic twist. Afflicted with ADHD and depression Michael said this about why he creates:
“Creating art brings me peace & stillness in an otherwise maddening world. It is my positive outlet which diverts negativity & allows me to practice as well as promote positive healthy mindfulness. I strive to always keep learning, exploring & experimenting. But most of all inspiring. Art takes devotion & sacrifice. Finally I am seeing the rewards from the long years of devotion. It is not the monetary reward that motivates me. Rather, my reward comes from the positive energy I receive in sharing my passion. If I can create a spark of inspiration to create in you, I have accomplished my goal as an artist. I hope that it cultivates into a flame which positively engulfs you & spreads further throughout the world.“
